Taipei Computer Association Joins 8Foundry Alliance
8Foundry Alliance proudly announces that the Taipei Computer Association (TCA)—one of Asia’s largest and most influential industry organizations—has officially joined the cluster.
As the first Taiwanese institution to do so, TCA’s membership marks another milestone in the Alliance’s rapid development. In just six months since its foundation, 8Foundry Alliance has grown into a dynamic global network of innovators, entrepreneurs, research institutions, and public partners, actively building international bridges that drive business and technology forward.
TCA: A Pillar of Taiwan’s ICT Industry and Host of World-Leading Tech Events
Established in 1974, the Taipei Computer Association unites more than 3,100 member companies across 18 Taiwanese cities. Its members include global technology leaders such as Acer, ASUS, Advantech, Delta Electronics, and Trend Micro—brands that have long shaped Taiwan’s status as one of the world’s foremost innovation hubs.
TCA’s members generate over 85% of Taiwan’s ICT industry value, employ more than 740,000 professionals, and hold a combined capital exceeding NTD 1.88 trillion (USD 57 billion). The association operates offices in Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung and maintains international representation in Tokyo, Beijing, Bangalore, and Selangor, bridging Asia’s technology ecosystem with Europe and global markets.
TCA is the organizer behind several internationally significant events, including Smart City Summit & Expo (SCSE)—the world’s largest conference and exhibition devoted to smart cities and IoT technologies—as well as COMPUTEX Taipei and InnoVEX, both gathering tens of thousands of participants annually.
Through this new partnership, 8Foundry Alliance members gain direct access to TCA’s global ecosystem of events, business matchmaking opportunities, and world-class technology communities, further expanding their international reach and innovation potential.
Smart City Forum: A Turning Point for Global Collaboration
TCA’s membership is the result of several months of preparation and dialogue, culminating at the Taiwan–Poland Smart City Forum & B2B Matchmaking Event, held on October 22, 2025, in Taipei.
The event brought together over a hundred representatives from business, government, and academic institutions across Taiwan, Poland, and Africa, serving as a powerful platform for experience sharing and the development of concrete projects.
8Foundry Alliance was a key partner of the forum, co-designing the program and representing the European and African perspectives in this strategic technology dialogue.
The forum proved to be one of the most important milestones in 8Foundry’s history, sparking dozens of B2B meetings, new partnership talks, and joint project plans with Taiwanese companies and institutions. The decision for TCA to join the Alliance emerged naturally from this collaboration—symbolizing a new era of sustained, cross-continental cooperation.
Three Continents, One Vision, Shared Future
The inclusion of the Taipei Computer Association confirms the truly global scope of 8Foundry Alliance, connecting partners across Europe, Asia, and Africa. This collaboration opens vast opportunities for technological exchange, innovation development, and joint projects in the areas of smart cities, Industry 4.0, and digital transformation.
It also demonstrates how the Alliance’s mission—to connect people, technologies, and ideas—translates into measurable outcomes. Every partnership strengthens 8Foundry as a platform that empowers businesses and institutions worldwide to achieve international success.
The participation of TCA stands as the first tangible result of our cooperation with Taiwan—but certainly not the last. 8Foundry Alliance plans a series of new initiatives and projects in the coming months to further solidify its position as an open, global, and high-impact organization.
