Gmina Jastków joins the 8Foundry Alliance

What do beer, cosmetics, herbal teas, and… the Municipality of Jastków have in common?

The answer is: hops. Although most commonly associated with brewing, hops have also been used for centuries in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and herbal medicine. They are valued for their nourishing, antioxidant, and soothing properties. Few people know that the Lublin region is one of the most important hop-growing regions in Poland, and the Municipality of Jastków has been part of this tradition for years.

However, Jastków is much more than just hops. Located in the immediate vicinity of Lublin, the municipality delights with its loess gorges, the Ciemięga River valley, and numerous green areas that form the unique landscape of this part of the region. It is a place where local history and nature go hand in hand with consistent development, entrepreneurship, and active residents.

Joining the 8Foundry Alliance opens up new opportunities for the Municipality of Jastków to cooperate with local governments, enterprises, universities, and institutions from both Poland and abroad.
